2024-2027 Local Officer Elections


Elections for the Local Officers for the 2024-2027 term will be conducted in January & February of 2024. 

Nomination meetings will be held at 7 am and 7 pm on January 11, 2024.  See December Six-Bits.


NOMINATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS:

PRESIDENT,VICE-PRESIDENT, INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS DIRECTOR, CLERK CRAFT DIRECTOR, MAINTENANCE CRAFT DIRECTOR, MOTOR VEHICLE CRAFT DIRECTOR, CUSTOMER SERVICE COORDINATOR, REC COORDINATOR, SECRETARY-TREASURER, RECORDING SECRETARY/INFORMATION OFFICER, BOARD OF TRUSTEES (3 POSITIONS), EDITOR-SIX BITS


Members must be nominated and the nomination be seconded at one of the two nominations meetings.  Nominations can come from any member of any craft for any position.  Any member may also self-nominate as long as a their self-nomination is seconded.


THIS IS YOUR UNION!  YOU ARE WELCOME TO RUN FOR ANY OFFICE AND VOTE FOR ANY CANDIDATE.  THE APWU IS THE MOST DEMOCRATIC POSTAL UNION IN THE WORLD.  WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ELECTION PROCESS THROUGH EITHER RUNNING FOR OFFICE, CAMPAIGNING FOR A CANDIDATE, BECOMING EDUCATED ON THE CANDIDATES, AND AT MINIMUM--VOTING AND RETURNING YOUR MAIL-IN BALLOT!


Ballots will be mailed February 8, 2024
Ballots will be counted February 23, 2024
If you don’t receive a ballot and have either:
1. A paystub receipt of dues being taken out of you check or
2. You have APWU Membership Form1187 recorded by the above deadline, you will be given a replacement ballot.
